Whatcom Museum...

I've been working on something a little different lately. This is the

Whatcom Museum in Bellingham. It is a beautiful building itself,

but looked especially beautiful with these azaleas blooming

below it, and I processed the photo to have a warm vintage feel.

 I'm happy with how it turned out.

An afternoon on Lummi Island...

We headed over to Lummi Island this past weekend for some lunch and

some time on the beach. We found our usual lunch spot closed, so

tried the only other restaurant on the Island. We had a great lunch and

were lucky to discover this beautiful mural painted on the outside of the

restaurant.

After lunch we went down to the beach. To get to the beach you have to go

down a short path through the woods, where we discovered a Labyrinth someone had

made. The path to the middle of the Labyrinth was lined with beach stones,

and there was a beautiful offering in the center.

It was a sunny day when we headed out, but when we got to the beach

we could see what was coming. I think we had about forty-five minutes before

the raindrops started. We hopped in the car and caught the next ferry for home.

Although our adventure was somewhat shortened, we still had a good

time and I always enjoy visiting the Island.

A Palm Frond...

  

I got this Palm frond from the florist the other day, and I had a lot of

fun playing with it. I can't decide which image I like the best.

A Hike in the Clouds...

We went for a hike in the Olympic National Park at Deer Park last August.

The wildflowers were in full bloom and every once in a while the clouds

would clear enough for us to catch a glimpse of the surrounding

mountains. It was absolutely breathtaking!

A Day in Newport, Oregon on the Oregon Coast...

My daughter's and I recently spent a long weekend on the Oregon Coast.

We spent one of our days in Newport and visited the Yaquina Head

Lighthouse at sunset. The weather was wonderful and we had a great

time being together.

A Day At The Beach...

We recently spent a wonderful week on the east coast. The weather was

fabulous and the ocean was warm. Definitely the highlight of the trip, was

the time spent on the beach.

Whatcom Falls Park

We took a walk through Whatcom Falls Park this past

weekend. It was a clear and sunny day, but very cold. I

found myself looking up to the sky. It was a beautiful color

and the tree silhouettes were amazing. I feel fortunate to

live so close to such a beautiful place.
