I enjoy the weeds so much more in the fall.

A Bounty of Tomatoes...
We have a bounty of tomatoes in our garden this year. Apparently deer
and rabbits don't care for tomatoes.

Fall Decorating...
Found this fun little pumpkin at the grocery store and couldn't resist
doing some fall decorating. I love the stem.

Whatcom County...
I have lived in Whatcom County for almost 20 years now, and I am
always surprised at how little of it I have seen. I can go for drives and still
find many roads I haven't been down, with wonderful photo
opportunities. I'm lucky to live in such a beautiful place.

Salmonberry Jelly...
One of the joys of summer in Sand Point, is picking Salmonberries. The
berries are huge and grow both red and orange. We picked enough to make
some jelly to bring home, and will be reminded of our trip all winter. I think
Katie's Salmonberry could have won the contest for the largest berry.

A Fall Leaf...
Although I'm not looking forward to gray, rainy days and cold weather, I am an
Autumn girl at heart. It is my favorite season. My house is decorated with every
color found in this leaf. I love the idea of curling up on the couch with a cup of
tea, a good book and a big pot of soup on the stove for dinner. If we had a
fireplace, there would be a fire as well.

Fun with a Dahlia...
I don't grow beautiful Dahlias in my garden, but I'm lucky enough to have
neighbors who do. And, they are generous enough to share them.

Barns...
Another one of my favorite subjects to photograph are barns. Whether part
of a working farm or completely falling down and unusable, they have
so much character.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month...
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Just a little pink
in support of the cause. Time to schedule a mammogram.
